A: Ephedra is alot less safe than taking pure ephedrine. USP grade ephedrine will always be what it says it is due to government regulations of over the counter drugs. Ephedra is not considered a drug by the government and not regulated.
Just google search ephedrine hcl and you will find plenty of people who sell it. There are alot of states where it is illegal to receive ephedrine and pseudoephedrine in the mail.
If you go to the drugstore they will sell Bronkaid Dual Action which contains 25 mg of Ephedrine Sulfate per tablet. Thirteen dollars or so for 60 tablets. Better deal than most of the stuff on the internet.
Where I live they keep it behind the counter, you have to be 18 to buy it, and you can only buy so much per month.

In the UK it is a prescription only medicine but it depends on the dose.
You can buy the 8mg tablets online but the 30mg and 60 mg tablets are strictly POM.

A: It's legal in Minuit doses (10mg), then you have to take a bunch of them for it to work, which it doesn't, phentermine works better (if your trying to lose weight).

A: Ephedra is a general term that refers to several species of herbs that contain the chemical ephedrine, also referred to as ma huang. Ephedra is effective as a nasal decongestant and can be legally marketed for this purpose if the recommended dosage is not too high. Government agencies in the United States and Canada are attempting to protect consumers against misleading claims and dangerous reactions associated with these products; and many lawsuits involving ephedra or ephedrine have been filed by ephedra victims. Hundreds of ephedra products are marketed as "energy boosters" and/or "thermogenic" diet aids, even though no published clinical trials substantiate that they are safe or effective for these purposes. These products outnumber the conventional prescription and nonprescription ephedra products that are FDA-approved as decongestants .
In February 2001, a jury awarded $13.3 million to an Alaskan woman who suffered a debilitating stroke after taking a weight-loss product containing ephedrine. The Superior Court jury in Anchorage ordered E'OLA International of St. George, Utah and its executives to pay Rosalie Talbert $1.3 million in compensatory damages and $12 million in punitive damages because of "outrageous" behavior in the sales of its "AMP II Pro" drops The jury found E'OLA liable for (a) creating an unsafe product; (b) misrepresenting it as "all natural" when it contained synthetic ephedrine in addition to herbal ephedra; and (c) for being negligent in failing to change the product despite government warnings that it could cause serious illness, including stroke. This was the first such case to come to trial. Between 1994 and mid-1999, supplement companies settled nearly three dozen personal-injury and wrongful-death lawsuits involving ephedra or ephedrine. Many more suits are pending . As a result, the cost of insurance for companies marketing ephedra products has risen dramatically .

A: Ephedra works but is equivelant to going on Methanphetamine for losing weight. It works alright but you wind up moody, angry and it throws your adrenal system so far out of whack that you suffer from severe anxiety. The reason it was pulled is because people use it to make crystal meth...

i had ordered for a "Ephedra free version of LIPO 6 capsules" online.But I had got "Lipo 6 fast acting liquid delivery capsule"
But the seller is saying that this does not contain "Ephedra"
When I checked in ingredients list i could not find "Ephedra".Is it possible that Ephedra might be there but under any different name?
A: it could be under pseudo-ephedrine.... some producers are ultra sneaky and put in ephedra without listing it.

I just read about this pill and it is guaranteed to work. It has hoodia and Advantra-Z in it. One bottle is $75.00 and cheaper if you buy more.
I was reading about curvelle and came across this article. I wonder if this pills works. The online info on this Ephedra-P57 seems to be legitimate.

A: Just watch you calories and don't eat the crap that most Americans eat. Diet pills are a scam, unless you combine it with a reduced calorie diet, then you will lose weight. Cinnamon and chromium I think are great to take if you have type 2 diabetes. Check out those.

I am interested in obtaining ephedrine to use as a study-aid. I am not 100% sure of it's legality in the U.S. and was wondering if anyone knew of any physical stores (or, preferably, online websites) that you could purchase ephedra or ephedrine-containing products from. I've stumbled across a few websites, but am unsure of their reliability/legality.
I am aware of the health risks involved with using Ephedrine. I'm just looking for where (if possible) I can buy it from. I'm not looking for a lecture...I have a mother that can do that.

A: Any local drugstore - you're looking for a product called Bronkaid. It's kept behind the counter, you'll have to be 18 and let them scan your drivers license in order to buy it. You'll be able to get 60 caplets for about $12-$13; each caplet has 25mg Ephedrine Sulphate and 400 mg Guiafenesin. It's the easiest/cheapest/safest way that I found to get Ephedrine. The law allows you to purchase ephedra products at a rate equivalent to 100mg Ephedrine / day - that means two boxes of bronkaid every month. Trust me, that's enough, even if you're popping it every day (don't).
About the guaifenesin - it's a expectorant (helps you cough up mucus). My research led me to conclude that it is relatively benign and safe to take. Please don't take my word for it, research for yourself (for instance, on webmd) and decide whether it's acceptable to consume a medicine you don't want (Guaifenesin) to facilitate semi-recreational use of a stimulant (Ephedra).
